Behind the Scenes of

Questionable Quizzes

We've probably all taken magazine quizzes from time to time. They can be on some borderline ridiculous topics. When writing these quizzes, I took out the "borderline" part. Because, as we all know, the best way to find out whether you should make an important decision like buying a house, or to discover something deeply personal about yourself like whether you're a superhero is to take a multiple choice quiz.

Not all of the quizzes turned out to be entirely ridiculous, though. I especially enjoyed writing book #6, with its theme on English history and Robin Hood, which hopefully is as informative as it is funny. This series has been a way to bring together a number of my tangentially-related interests, from travel and haunted places to home renovation shows and dinosaurs.

With the world on lockdown due to COVID-19, short humour pieces proved effective at keeping the writing coming, despite the stress of everything in life being in flux. As people looked for things to do while staying home, it seemed like the time to share some laughs by adding to the collection of quizzes I'd been writing, and put them out as short e-books. Bringing all of the quizzes together into a paperback has been a good way to cap off the series.
